Seal several key positions

Before the glue is cured, the glass should be kept from vibration.

Front sealing, trailing edge and side edge sealing of the vehicle: The hood is supported, and the front edge, the trailing edge and the side edge of the hood are pasted to the anastomosis part of the vehicle body, so as to effectively seal the gap between the hood and the vehicle body. During the running of the vehicle, the passage of air from the intake grille can be accelerated to improve the heat dissipation performance. At the same time, the friction between the hood and the front part, the left and right front fenders can be reduced, and the noise caused by bumps and friction can be reduced. If the gap is large, you can paste two layers.

By sealing the gap between the four doors and the vehicle body, the sealing performance of the vehicle can be effectively improved and the wind noise can be reduced. The improvement of sealing performance can also prevent dust and rain from entering the cockpit and improve the air conditioning refrigeration efficiency. When repairing a door with a sealing flange, care should be taken to repair the damaged sealing flange and accurately restore the shape of the original flange. Sealing inspection should be carried out after repairing the door. The inspection method is: put a piece of cardboard on the sealing position, close the door, and then pull the paper to judge whether the sealing is good according to the magnitude of the pulling force. If the force required to pull the paper is too large, the seal is too tight, which will affect the normal closing of the door, and will also cause the seal to lose its sealing performance due to the deformation of the oversized surface; if the force required to pull the paper has passed Small, indicating poor sealing, there is often a phenomenon that the door does not block the wind. When replacing the door, be sure to pay the edge glue at the inner and outer plate flanges of the new door, and block some of the holes left in the stamping with the base tape.

Pay attention to several places of sealing when repairing a car

After the window glass is damaged, replace the glass with the same curvature as the original window glass, and check the glass guide groove and the sealing strip for damage. Since the window often fails to return to its original shape after being repaired, in addition to ensuring that the window glass can be easily pulled or lifted, attention should be paid to the sealing around the window glass after the window is closed. If the gap between the glass and the glass slot is not uniform, the rubber strip is in poor contact with the glass and the glass groove, and the glass slot is protruded, and the sealing strip can be easily pulled off by hand.

When changing the roof, first apply a layer of conductive sealant at the press-fit around the roof. After welding, apply the folded edge glue in the flow tank and at the joint. This will not only help the body seal. It also prevents the car from causing early rust due to water accumulation at the flange weld.

When replacing the entire body, in addition to the above items, a layer of sealant should be applied to the lap joints and welds of the weld. The thickness of the layer should be about 1 mm, and the glue layer should not be viscous. Defects such as bubbles; special folding edges should be applied at the hem; 3mm-4mm elastic coating and anti-corrosion coating should be applied on the lower surface of the floor and the lower surface of the front wheel cover; these measures can not only greatly enhance the whole The car's tightness and slow down the body's rust rate, but also greatly improve ride comfort.

Daily maintenance needs to be in place

The daily maintenance work of the sealing strip mainly includes the following items. In addition to this, the gap between the seal strips is easily filled with dust and rust. To this end, the dust should be removed with a brush.

For this reason, at the time of installation, the length of the sealing strip is longer than the fitting side of the door and window. The bevel is broken at the corner, and it is firmly adhered with the adhesive, leaving sufficient expansion allowance.
